Hi! I’m Mo G.,

I was born and raised in the West Suburbs of Chicago in a nurturing and loving community. My curiosity for hair began when I was only two years old. I started by practicing on my doll's hair, then on my own and eventually on other people. I remember sitting in amazement in the braid shop, surrounded by beautiful Black hair. I was fascinated by the strength and way Black people's hair defied gravity.

After 22 years of experience, I decided to open my own business. In 2019, I founded Keep it Natural, a space to help other stylists grow through mentorship and training.

We deliver more than healthy, natural, bold and beautiful hair. We also host community wellness events that focus on physical, spiritual and mental health. Black creators and entrepreneurs are welcome to share their ideas here.

Keep it Natural is a space that feels like home. Where people can come to recharge, heal, reset and let go of their stress. We’re an overflowing oasis of Black love, and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
